American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR Instructor Course
The Heartsaver First Aid CPR course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED courses. Instructor candidates learn how to use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies.

As a CPR Instructor, candidates can teach the following courses:

Prerequisites

Have a current AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED card (only AHA cert accepted)

Be proficient in your First Aid and CPR skill
Certification Requirements
Candidates who successfully complete the steps listed below will receive an American Heart Association BLS Instructor certification, valid for two years.

Step 1: Have a current AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED card

Step 2: Obtain the course manuals: Heartsaver FIrst Aid CPR instructor manual or e-book

Step 3: Complete the virtual or in-person class session conducted by AHA Training Center Faculty

Step 4: Align with Angelmedic CPR Training Center (alignment is automatic for new instructors)
The American Heart Association requires Instructor candidates to align with an authorized Training Center (TC) or Training Site (TS).. All Instructors who complete the BLS Instructor course will automatically be aligned with Angelmedic CPR for 1 year.
